Summary

Following government endorsement of the recommendations of the Review of the Corporate Governance of Statutory Authorities and Office Holders (the Uhrig Review), the bill repeals the

Australia-Japan Foundation Act 1976
to abolish the Australia-Japan Foundation and enable it to be re-established as a non-statutory, unincorporated bilateral body within the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
